Sweet Spot #3: Graffiti Galore

Posted on April 8, 2009 in Fun, The Sweet Spot

A few years ago I came across this awesome company that makes custom and stock vinyl graphics to decorate your walls. They do monograms, quotes, decorative patterns, anything you can imagine to personally dress up your walls.

My favorites are the monogrammed baby rooms! Other awesome ideas are monograms to dress up your mantle or dining room, label coat hooks, say Welcome at your door, or keep inspiration in plain sight with your favorite quote. Just picture your office lobby with your logo and a stimulating quote or mission statement, boldly greeting your customers everyday! This opened up a whole new world of interior design to me!

  • Wonderful Graffiti has great inspiration on their site. You can share your masterpieces, view the Walls of Fame for ideas, shop stock decals, and even use their Play RoomTM tool, which can simulate your room and help you size and design your new wall.

  • Wall Candy Arts (love the name :P) also has lots of ideas and decals to buy, that are mostly geared toward kids. They also have a useful tool on their site for designing your own room. My favorites are the stick-on chalkboards that you can draw on and add endless personalization.
  • Dezign with a Z has an impressive collection of much more avant-garde designs, made by European and US designers where you can pick from pre-designed pieces, or have one of their designers customize one from a picture.
  • Recently I have discovered that Target and Ikea sell some great wall decals too! Target has a fun variety of life-size cartoon (Superman!) and sport decals, as well as butterflies, generic shapes and quotes. Ikea has a small, yet extremely inexpensive array of designs that go perfectly with their other decor.

Graffiti has gone posh! I’ll be sure to post my own Wall of Fame when I finally decide to commit!
