20 Firefox Plugins for Web Designers

If you are a web designer, Firefox has tons of plug-ins to help speed up your web creation process. Here are 20 of our favorite plug-ins to help your coding efforts.

Web Developer – Adds a menu and a toolbar with various web developer tools.

Firebug – You can edit, debug, and monitor CSS, HTML, and JavaScript live in any web page.

Colorzilla - Advanced Eyedropper, ColorPicker, Page Zoomer and other colorful goodies.

FireShot – FireShot is a Firefox extension that creates screen shots of web pages (entirely or just visible part).

MeasureIt – Draw out a ruler to get the pixel width and height of any elements on a web page.

GridFox - GridFox is a Firefox extension that overlays a grid on any Websites.

ScreenGrab – This tool is used to capture what you can see in the window, the entire page, just a selection, a particular frame.

W3C Offline Page Validator – Validates a page using the W3C Markup Validation Service, even if the page is not public.

Browser Window Resizer – Resize your browser to various standard resolution sizes.

CSS Viewer - A simple CSS property viewer.

FireFTP – FireFTP is a free, secure, cross-platform FTP client for Mozilla Firefox which provides easy and intuitive access to FTP servers.

Link Checker – Check the validity of links on any web page.

Dummy Ipsum – Generate “Lorem Ipsum” dummy text (from http://www.lipsum.com).

IE Tab – This is a great tool for web developers, since you can easily see how your web page displayed in IE with just one click and then switch back to Firefox.

Chrome View – This extension allows you to quickly open the currently viewed page in Google Chrome.

OperaView – Open pages in Opera from Firefox and Mozilla context menus.

Safari View Win – Adds a context menu entry to open the currently viewed web page in Safari on Windows.

Font Finder – Get all CSS styles of selected text in Firefox / Thunderbird.

IE NetRenderer – Render the current page with IE NetRenderer.

CSS Validator -Validates a page using the W3C CSS Validator.
